Morocco begins a vaccination campaign against the Coronavirus next week

The Moroccan Ministry of Health announced that it would start a vaccination campaign against the Coronavirus next week after it reached Friday, the British AstraZeneca vaccine’s first shipments.

The Ministry of Health revealed that it would receive the first batch of the “Sinopharm” vaccine next Wednesday from the Republic of China, noting that it has acquired a number in implementation of the directives of Moroccan King Mohammed VI of vaccines for the benefit of 33 million people.

The ministry confirmed in a statement that the official start of the national vaccination process will be given next week and that this national process, which will take place gradually, concerns the target groups, starting with the people most at risk of contracting Covid-19 disease and its complications, “It is about 40-year-old health professionals. And above, public authorities and the army and women and men of education from 45 years old, in addition to elderly persons of 75 years and over.

This process will also include, in an initial stage, areas with high rates of cases of Covid-19 disease, “according to the ministry’s statement.
