A German city plans another lockdown to fight Corona

The German state of Saxony announced today, Tuesday, that it plans to tighten further measures to combat the new Coronavirus “Covid 19” outbreak.

On Tuesday, the state government said that schools, kindergartens, and many shops would be closed as of next Monday.

And the government of the state of Saxony, eastern Germany, announced that this was to be done in response to the strong increase in the number of cases.

For its part, Thuringia’s German state announced that social distancing restrictions would not be eased to counter the outbreak of the new Coronavirus “Covid 19” over the course of “Christmas” and New Year’s Eve.

The state’s local government agreed on that today, Tuesday, in light of the high numbers of Coronavirus infection.

Consultations on this proposal are still planned with the provincial parliament of Thuringia and state localities.
