Video … a massive fire in a chemical plant in central Iran
A chemical plant caught fire near the city of Qom in central Iran on Sunday, local media reported, wounding at least two firefighters.
Videos showed thick black smoke rising from the “Movaledan” chemical plant near Qom, one of the prominent religious cities in Iran. The cause of the fire was not immediately known.

The semi-official Iranian Students News Agency quoted a spokesman for the Qom Fire Department, Hamid Karimi, saying that 20 fire engines and 150 men had been sent to the site.
Karimi said that firefighters could prevent the flames from reaching the liquor tanks, despite several explosions and two firefighting vehicles caught fire.
The agency added that two firefighters were injured, one of them in critical condition.
