Today, Tuesday, a health official in Moldova announced that 4 cases of Coronavirus have been recorded in people who have already been vaccinated against “Covid-19”.
During a press briefing, Laura Tsurkan, an infectious disease expert at the National Public Health Agency, explained that “there are four cases of infection with the Coronavirus after vaccination, and these people were vaccinated during their incubation period and they were not aware that they were sick.”
On March 2, a mass vaccination campaign against Corona, using the vaccine designed by the American-Swedish company “AstraZeneca”, was launched in Moldova on March 2.
During his official visit to Chisinau late last year, Romanian President Klaus Iohannes promised to provide 200,000 doses of “AstraZeneca” vaccine to Moldova as humanitarian aid. The first shipment of the aforementioned vaccine arrived in Moldova on February 27, before the country received 14,4 thousand additional doses through Kovacs international platform. The country also obtained two thousand doses of the Chinese “Sonopharma” vaccine from the United Arab Emirates, and they have not yet been distributed to vaccination centers.
