The French police referred to the judiciary two young men arrested on suspected terrorist attacks targeting security forces.
According to the French newspaper “Le Parisien,” the police arrested them in Paris and Marseille on Wednesday. They were suspected of planning armed attacks against the security forces, especially against the army.
According to sources close to the investigation, a 17-year-old boy and an 18-year-old youth were arrested by the police of the General Directorate of Internal Security in Mantes-la-Jolly (Yvelines) in the capital, Paris, and Bouch-de-Rhone in the city of Marseille, southern France, as part of two investigations to combat Terror.
The sources added that the two suspects were considering taking violent measures on French soil and were brought before an anti-terrorism judge on Saturday on charges of “forming a criminal terrorist cell.”
