It was the 62nd minute of the match between Chelsea and Liverpool, played this Thursday at Anfield. In a very unusual move, Jürgen Klopp decided to remove Mohamed Salah from the pitch, bringing in Oxlade-Chamberlain.
The decision was shocking as Liverpool needed to look for a draw and therefore withdrew their top scorer. At the time of his replacement, the Egyptian agent, Ramy Abbas Issa, instead of offering an explanation or expressing his frustration, Ramy Abbas released a somewhat cryptic single point. A point that could well be interpreted in different ways.

After the game, Klopp had to explain to the media the reason for his strange decision. “ At this point, Salah seemed to be feeling the intensity and exhaustion, and I didn’t want to risk it. Everything is fine; I am making the decisions that I find correct at all times, ”he explained in the press room. “ Salah seemed to be in a bit of pain because he plays a lot of games. I could have removed Mané or Firmino, but at that point, it seemed to me that it had to be Mo salah, ”concluded the German coach.
Currently, Mohamed Salah has scored 17 goals in 26 Premier League games, making him the competition’s top solo scorer.
