In the second half, De Bruyne was close to scoring the second goal for Manchester City in the 48th minute with a dropped ball, but his ball lost its way into the net.

Gundogan received a superb pass from De Bruyne in the 56th minute, but Houlding sent the ball off the field.

Guardiola pushed Gabriel Jesus instead of De Bruyne in the 62nd minute.
