The Saudi Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance temporarily closed seven mosques after 11 cases of Coronavirus were confirmed among worshipers.
The ministry stated that “the total of what mosques were closed during 13 days reached 105, 92 of which were opened after the completion of sterilization and the completion of readiness in the framework of ensuring the worshipers’ health and providing them with the highest safety standards.”
The ministry indicated that “all closed mosques are in the Riyadh region, as 5 cases of the corona were detected in a mosque in the Al-Majmaah governorate, and one point in each of the remaining mosques in the governorates: Al-Quwaiyah, Al-Tariq, Hawtat Bani Tamim, Shaqra, in addition to two mosques in Riyadh, one of them in the neighborhood Cordoba and the other in the area of Umm al-Hamam. ”
The Ministry indicated that five mosques were opened today after completing all precautionary measures of sterilization and maintenance, three mosques in the Riyadh region, a mosque in the Al-Jouf region, and a mosque northern border region.
