Twitter announced today, Wednesday, that it will not allow former US President Donald Trump to return to the platform even if he becomes president again in the future.
Twitter CFO Ned Segal said he would not allow Trump to return to the stage, even if he ran for the position again and won.
“Seagal”, during an interview with the American channel “CNBC”, responded to a question about whether Trump would restore his privileges on the stage if he won the presidency again, saying: “Trump’s ban is permanent.”
“Our policies are designed to make sure that people who incite violence should be banned, and our policy does not allow them to return,” he added.
Twitter took an unprecedented step last month to ban Trump, after some of his supporters stormed the US Capitol.
The company said at the time that it would permanently suspend Trump’s account “due to the risk of further incitement to violence.”
