Turkish ship exposed to piracy off Nigeria

The official Turkish Anadolu Agency revealed, at dawn on Sunday, that a Turkish ship had been attacked by pirates on the coast of Lagos, Nigeria.

According to the information obtained by the agency’s correspondent, Saturday, the 19-person shop, named “Mozart” and flying the Liberian flag, was attacked Saturday at 10:36 am, while it was about 180 miles from the Nigerian city of Lagos.

He said that the pirate pirates had taken 15 Turkish crews hostage and left the ship.

He pointed out that one of the crew members who had Azerbaijani citizenship was killed during the accident.

The Turkish ship, which was attacked by the pirates, is expected to arrive at the port of Port Gentil in Gabon, on Sunday, at 09:00 am local time in Turkey (06:00 GMT), with 3 crew members on board.
