Athletic Bilbao was crowned Spanish Super Cup champion for the third time in its history by beating Barcelona 3-2 after extending the final that brought them together on Sunday.
Barcelona opened the scoring window in the 40th minute through its French star Antoine Griezmann, and the Basque team quickly equalized two minutes later through Oscar de Marcos.
The first half ended with the two teams tied with each other.
Griezmann re-led Barcelona by scoring the second goal in the 77th minute of the match.
Bilbao equalized the result in the last minute of normal time for the match through Acier Villalebri.
And the original time of the match ended, with the two teams tied with two goals each, to hold them for two extra times.
Bilbao scored the lead through Iñaki Williams in the third minute of the first overtime.
Barcelona ended the match with 10 men after their Argentine captain, Lionel Messi, was sent off.
