Norwegian Erling Haaland, the Borussia Dortmund striker, became the Barcelona club president’s latest card in the upcoming elections.
The Catalan club elections are scheduled to take place at the end of next January, prompting many to run for the presidency after the resignation of the previous council, headed by Josep Maria Bartomeu.
According to “Sky Sports Germany,” Emily Rosoud, the candidate for Barcelona’s presidency, intends to bring Haaland to the Camp Nou stadium if he wins the elections.
Rossouw and the other vice-presidential candidate, Josep Minguela, announced that they are in the process of reaching an agreement with the Italian Mino Raiola, the Norwegian striker’s agent, regarding Haaland’s transfer to Barca in the summer of 2021.
This comes despite reports linking the 20-year-old to several European clubs, led by Real Madrid and Manchester United.
Haaland completed his first year with the Lions Festival in recent days, where he managed to score 33 goals and make 6 more during his 32 matches.
