A bird watcher found a treasure of 2,000-year-old Celtic gold coins, valued at about 800,000 pounds (the equivalent of one million and 144 thousand dollars).
A British bird watcher, who has not been named, discovered a cache of gold Celtic coins while observing a falcon in a freshly plowed field in eastern England.

After scraping off the mud, he found a 2,000-year-old gold coin, so he went home to fetch his metal detector and went back to continue searching.
Several hours later, he discovered about 1,300 coins, all dated between AD 40 and 50.
Experts believe that each coin can be worth up to 650 pounds, making the treasure worth 845,000 pounds.

The man showed that he carried the gold treasure home and reported to the local forensic office, which deals with any treasure discovered in Britain.
The coins were possibly a war “deposit” of the Eastern campaigns by Boudica, the Queen of the Iceni Celtic tribe, while she was at war with the Romans.
