Indonesia announced that it would impose measures to prevent foreign nationals from entering the country from January 1 to 14 next in order to avoid the spread of the new strain of the Coronavirus.
“We will prevent foreign nationals from entering the country from January 1 to 14 because of the new strain of Corona,” said Indonesian Foreign Minister Retno Marsudi.
Last week, Indonesia banned all travelers from the United Kingdom from entering the country. It tightened rules for those coming from Europe and Australia to contain the new strain of Corona.
And Britain recently announced the discovery of a new mutation in the country for SARS-CoV-2.
The British Advisory Board on New and Emerging Respiratory Virus Threats confirmed that the type of coronavirus that has been identified in the country is spreading at a faster rate and requires more caution from the population.
