The British Sunday Telegraph newspaper reported that the United Kingdom would roll out the Oxford University Corona vaccine from 4 January 2021, according to the plans set by the government.
The newspaper said that the government hopes to give AstraZeneca the first dose, a licensed Oxford vaccine, or Pfizer, to two million people within the next two weeks.
The newspaper added that the Oxford vaccine is expected to be approved by medical regulators within days.
Several countries announced the closure of their borders to Britain due to the outbreak of a new British-born Coronavirus outbreak.
Scientists say the variant is 40% -70% more transmissible than the original strain. Several other countries, including Australia, Italy, and the Netherlands, say they have detected cases of the new strain.
