Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced Saturday that the Hebrew state intends to vaccinate a quarter of its population against the Coronavirus within a month to return to normal life before Corona.
“I spoke over the weekend with the heads of the companies that supply us with vaccines, and I told them that our goal by the end of next week is to give 150,000 vaccines per day,” Netanyahu said in a video recording.
He added, “This means that within 30 days of reaching this rate, we will have given 4.5 million vaccines,” adding, “And since every person needs two doses, a month later we will have vaccinated 2.25 million Israeli citizens.”
