Facebook removes the verification tag from Apple’s official page

Facebook has removed the blue verification mark from Apple’s page after the latter announced a privacy feature that allows users to prevent advertisers from tracking them across various apps.

It is not clear exactly when Facebook deleted the “Apple” authentication tag from its site, but this blue mark is still present on the “Apple” account on the “Instagram” site owned by “Facebook“.

And the “Facebook” site gives brands and major institutions a blue mark on their official social media pages to symbolize their authenticity and has granted competitors to “Apple” such as Microsoft, Hewlett Packard, and Samsung this mark.

The dispute erupted between the two companies last week after “Apple” announced changes to iOS 14.4, which will be launched next year and allow users to prevent advertisers from tracking them through various applications.
