US media reported that the outgoing US President Donald Trump discussed with his aides the martial law declaration to re-hold the presidential elections.
Trump had announced that those behind the widespread cyber attack on the American administration institutions were not necessarily Russia, but rather China.
This comes in contrast to what was stated by US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, who accused Russia of the cyber attack on US institutions.
Trump wrote on Twitter on Saturday, after staying silent for several days about the attack, that Russia is always accused if something happens.
Trump said that it might also be China who did this, indicating that this option was not discussed “mostly for financial reasons,” he said.
