On Thursday, South Korea announced that it recorded a record daily increase in the number of deaths due to the Coronavirus, with increasing pressure on hospitals, due to the largest wave of infections in the country.
The Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency recorded 22 additional deaths as of midnight Wednesday, up from 13 earlier this week.
The country recorded 1014 new cases of Coronavirus, bringing the total number of infections to 46,453. The total number of deaths reached 634.
