Britain’s Prince Harry and his wife Megan Markle, Duchess of Sussex, are planning to enter the podcasting business.
Harry and Meghan set up a new production company and entered into a partnership with the Swedish company “Spotify” to broadcast music and podcasts; the company said in a statement, Tuesday.
The couple’s first podcast will be broadcast before the end of this year, as a special episode on holiday, and their first full series is expected to air in 2021.
The couple plans to personally present podcast content and produces podcasts for others.
“What we love about broadcasting podcasts is that they remind us all to really listen and communicate with each other without being distracted,” the Duke and Duchess of Sussex said in a joint statement, according to Spotify.
The couple said that listening was no more important than this year, amid the pandemic, “because when we hear each other and hear each other’s stories, we remember how interconnected we are all.”
