US President-elect Joe Biden announced in an interview with “CNN” that he would receive the Coronavirus vaccine in a public place, in an attempt to enhance public confidence in it, “after they lost their confidence in the effectiveness of the vaccine.”
The Biden transition team is expected to reveal the date Biden and his deputy, Kamala Harris, will receive the Corona vaccine.
In the same context, White House press secretary Kylie McCannani said that President Donald Trump “categorically” encourages Americans to take Corona vaccines, and he will take the vaccine when his medical team decides that the time is right for that.
In a White House briefing, McNani said that some national security personnel would receive vaccines to ensure the continuity of government work, along with a “tiny group” of senior administration officials to enhance public confidence in the vaccine.
The chief infectious disease expert in the United States, Anthony Fauci, said today, Tuesday, that the current President Donald Trump and President-elect Joe Biden should be vaccinated against the Coronavirus “immediately,” indicating that he would like to see Biden “fully protected, coinciding with his assumption of the reins of power in January.”
