Amid the protest of human rights organizations and associations over the violations of the demonstrators, the French Minister of the Interior, Gerald Darmanin, thanked the police and gendarmerie who had encountered “violent people” today during the demonstrations.
81 interpellations désormais, à 15h50. Merci aux policiers et gendarmes qui font parfois face à des individus ultra-violents. https://t.co/SXpOn2L2RW

The French police arrested over 81 people and used tear gas and water cannons to disperse the demonstrators, who turned out in large numbers.
Despite the protests that take place in Paris every Saturday, against the Comprehensive Security Law, especially Article 24, which limits the freedom of the media to practice their work regarding coverage of demonstrations and protests, the government is continuing to impose it.
