The list published by “FIFA” on its website included the names of Cristiano Ronaldo, the Juventus player, Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski, and Barcelona captain Lionel Messi.

Three weeks ago, FIFA announced a list of 11 candidates to win the award, which will be awarded on December 17, during a ceremony held at the headquarters of the International Federation in Zurich, in exceptional circumstances because of the repercussions of the Coronavirus.

The initial list of candidates included the names of Mohamed Salah, Neymar da Silva, Sergio Ramos, Thiago Alcantara, Sadio Mane, Kevin De Bruyne, Virgil Van Dyck, Kylian Mbappe, and Ronaldo, Messi, and Lewandowski.

Most of the prize nominations are in the interest of the Polish striker Lewandowski, after his leadership of Bayern Munich to win the three-league and domestic cup and the European Champions League last season, before adding at the start of the current season the two domestic Super Cups and the European Super Cup.

It was also not ruled out that the Portuguese Ronaldo was kidnapped for the award, especially after his remarkable brilliance at the beginning of the current season, and he scored 40 goals in various competitions during the current year, besides winning the Italian League title last season with Juventus.

Winning the Best in the World award depends on the vote of the fans, journalists, leaders, and coaches, and the winner will be announced after 6 days.
