A ring of 12,638 tiny diamonds has entered the Guinness Book of Records for having more diamonds than any other ring, but its Indian designer has no plans to sell his priceless design yet.
And according to the British Daily Mail, the ring is called the “flowering ring,” weighing in at just over 165 grams (5.8 ounces) of the elaborate floral composition with a dense circular ribbon.
“It’s wearable and comfortable,” said Harish Bansal, 25, who described his bold creativity as a dream project.
Bansal added that he had the idea for a ring two years ago while studying Surat’s jewelry design, a diamond center in India.
“My goal has always been more than 10,000 diamonds, as I ignored many designs and concepts over the years to focus on this,” he continued.
In a statement, his company, Renani Jewels, said that each little petal in the eight-tiered flower ring design was unique.
Bansal said he had already rejected potential buyers’ requests, adding, “We have no plans to sell it at the moment.” It is a matter of pride for us. It is priceless. ‘
