China’s CNOOC said it was “shocked” and regrets being added to a US blacklist
China’s CNOOC said it was “shocked” and regrets being added to a US blacklist.
China National Offshore Oil Corporation (CNOOC) said Friday that it is “shocked” and regrets to learn that the US Department of Defense has added it to the US blacklist of companies allegedly linked to the Chinese military.
The state-owned CNOOC added in a statement on its website that the move was based on “false and inaccurate information.”
CNOOC Ltd., the company’s listed arm, said earlier that it is assessing the impact of the situation and closely following subsequent developments.
