Real Madrid legend Hugo Sanchez has expressed his opinion that the thought of sacking Zinedine Zidane’s coach now would be a hasty decision.
On Tuesday, Real Madrid lost again to its competitor Shakhtar Donetsk, Ukraine, in the fifth round of the Champions League group stage. The team was required to win the last match against Borussia Monchengladbach to qualify for the final.
Sanchez: Zidane is upset with the performance of Real Madrid’s players.
“That will be very hasty now,” Sanchez said, in statements carried by the Spanish newspaper Marca, commenting on the idea of sacking Zidane. “You have to wait for the remaining match in the Champions League; there will be pressure, tension, and waiting for the outcome of the match against Borussia Monchengladbach.”
The Mexican legend of Mernahi continued his speech by saying: “There are serious criticisms directed at Zidane, and he bears the matter calmly, but I noticed his tension because his players did not live up to the expectations attached to players in Real Madrid.”
Real Madrid will face the next match, Monchengladbach, on Wednesday at Alfredo Di Stefano, while Inter Milan will meet at the historic San Siro stadium with Shakhtar Donetsk.
