Deportivo Alaves managed to achieve a difficult and important victory at Real Madrid’s expense, with two goals to one goal, during the meeting between them this Saturday evening, in the Spanish League competitions.
With this result, Real Madrid stuck at 17 points in fourth place temporarily, while Deportivo Alaves raised its score to 13 points in ninth place.
Real Madrid’s match against Deportivo Alaves:
The start of the match witnessed strong pressure from Deportivo Alaves. In the fourth minute, the referee announced a penalty in favor of the Blue team after a shot from Victor LaGuardia hit the hand of a Real Madrid defender Nacho.
Lucas Perez was tasked with translating it into a goal, placing the ball to the right of Courtois, Real Madrid goalkeeper, to score the first goal for Deportivo Alaves.
In the 21st minute, Hazard kicked off from the midfield and hit a powerful ball with the right foot. Still, the Alaves goalkeeper successfully blocked it, and it bounced back to the player again, dodged the defender, and fell to the ground demanding a penalty.

In the 50th minute, Deportivo Alaves scored the second goal, after a wrong pass from Courtois, which was cut by Josillo, the visitors’ striker, and hit the ball into the empty goal.
In the 81st minute, Lucas Vásquez raised a cross from the right side and placed it on the head of Mariano Diaz, who shot it beautifully, but the Alaves defender dispersed it from the goal line.
In the 85th minute, Casemiro scored the goal to reduce the difference for Real Madrid, but the remaining minutes did not witness anything new in the score’s level to end the match with a score (2/1).
