Dubai – (East):
US President Donald Trump renewed his skepticism about the presidential elections, claiming that they were rigged and that he won them.
Trump said on “Twitter,” “The fake media did not correctly reach the goal of my press conference he held after his speech to the army on the occasion of Thanksgiving Day,” noting that the main point he talked about is that “the 2020 elections were rigged, and that I won.”
Trump’s tweet comes hours after he pledged to leave the White House if the electoral college votes for Democratic President-elect Joe Biden.
In a statement that is considered the closest to his admission of defeat, Trump said that if the electoral college confirmed that Biden was the winner in the elections, he would leave the White House, according to Reuters.
It is scheduled to meet the electoral college on December 14 to vote on the new president, while the new presidential term begins on January 20.
