Seoul foils a North Korean attempt to infiltrate companies developing Corona vaccines

Seoul – (Reuters):

On Friday, a news site, citing a member of the Parliament’s Intelligence Committee, stated that the South Korean Intelligence Agency had foiled North Korean attempts to infiltrate Korean companies developing vaccines for the Coronavirus.

And the site attributed to Ha Tae-Kyung, a member of parliament, as saying, after seeing a briefing from the National Intelligence Agency, that the agency did not specify the number of drug companies that were targeted or their names, but said that there was no harm from the hacking attempts.

Last week, Microsoft said that hackers working for the governments of Russia and North Korea tried to break into the networks of 7 pharmaceutical companies and centers specialized in vaccine research in South Korea, Canada, France, India, and the United States.
