Brasilia – (Reuters):
Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro said, on Thursday evening, that he would not take a vaccine against the Coronavirus in the latest series of statements he made to express his doubts about the vaccination programs against the virus.
In remarks broadcast live on several social media platforms, Bolsonaro added that it was unlikely that Congress would ask Brazilians to have a vaccine.
The Brazilian president also expressed his skepticism about the effectiveness of using masks, indicating that there is little conclusive evidence of the effectiveness of masks in preventing transmission of the virus.
Bolsonaro has said repeatedly that Brazilians will not be required to get vaccinated when the Corona vaccine becomes widely available. And last October, he joked on Twitter that vaccination would only be required for his dog.
