Liverpool coach Jurgen Klopp confirmed the readiness of his star, Mohamed Salah, to take part against Atalanta in the Champions League after recovering from the Coronavirus.
“Salah trained with us on Monday and he appeared really well,” Klopp said at a press conference on Tuesday.
He added, “All of Salah’s tests for Coronavirus came negative, and he is available to take part in front of Atalanta.”
And the German coach continued, “Now we have to see what we will do with Salah because he was in isolation until 3 days ago.”
“There is no recent news about the players’ injuries,” Klopp added. “We will see what happens in the coming hours.”
He continued, “I do not want to talk much about that because I do not know the physical condition of the Atalanta players, so why do we give them any information.”
Salah missed Liverpool’s 3-0 victory over Leicester City in the English Premier League because of his infection with the Coronavirus while he was in Egypt last week in order to participate in the two matches of Togo in the upcoming African Nations qualifiers.
Salah has scored 8 goals in the Premier League this season, besides two goals in the Champions League.
Atalanta will visit Liverpool in the fourth round of the Champions League group stage at Anfield.
