India’s Hindu religious leader Rajan Zaid demanded that the Brazilian clothing manufacturer John Country remove the image of the Hindu deity “Ganesh” from a production line of shorts for men and women.

He continued: “Clothing companies should not work in the field of violating sacred things and mocking entire sects.”
The Hindu cleric also pointed out that “the inappropriate use of gods, symbols, or Hindu icons, for commercial purposes, hurts the worshipers’ feelings.”
Ganesh is one of the most famous and most worshiped deities in the Hindu deities complex.
