The South American Football Association “CONMEBOL” has decided its position on postponing the match between Argentina and its Peruvian host in the fourth round of the Latin continent qualifiers for the 2022 World Cup.
In an official statement today, Monday, CONMEBOL said: “The Police General Command in Peru agreed to provide all guarantees for the match between Peru and Argentina, which is scheduled to take place tomorrow, Tuesday, in Lima.”
The statement added: “The teams of Peru and Argentina must be present at the scheduled time for the South American qualifiers for the 2022 World Cup, at the National Stadium in Lima, starting at 19:30 (local time).”

After three rounds of qualifying matches, the Argentine national team is in the runners-up position with 7 points, two points behind the Brazilian leaders, compared to one point for Peru in eighth place.
