Barcelona announced today, Friday, the extension of the sponsorship contract with Rakuten, the world leader in Internet services, based in Japan, for an additional year until June 2022.
In this way, the two parties implement the option stipulated in the original agreement, and the Japanese Internet Service Company continues to be the main sponsor of the team, and the global sponsor of innovation and entertainment for the club and its logo continues on the shirt of the first team of the Catalan club.
Barcelona did not mention the value or details of the new contract.

As part of the renewal of this contract, the two parties are considering improving the established plans “to adapt them to the new reality derived” from the Corona epidemic.
The first agreement between the two parties dates back to June 2017 for 4 years, according to which Barcelona will receive about 55 million euros for each year, besides additional incentives based on titles that may reach 11 million.
