The best weapon for treating children’s anemia

A dumb disease that has no voice and no introductions to it, but it slowly creeps into the body so it can declare its victory, and the problem is that anemia or silent anemia afflicts most of our children. Therefore, we must monitor our weapons against it before its fierce attack.

Anemia is a lack of water in the number of red blood cells or the amount of hemoglobin in the blood, which reduces the amount of oxygen present in the cell and thus reduces energy and results in dizziness.

The question: Why does a decrease in the number of red blood cells occur?

Because of using drugs.. hormonal disorders – chronic infections – surgeries – stomach ulcers – hemorrhoids – cirrhosis – recurrent pregnancy – or tWe should note that anemia is not considered a health problem. Still, it may be a sign of the disorders behind it. Therefore, examinations must be conducted for anemia and to determine the cause, as many eat healthy food, yet we find them suffering from anemia. Thyroid disorders, and better malnutrition diseases, especially iron deficiency, folic acid, and vitamin B6, B12, and here comes the most common cause of anemia, which is Iron deficiency.

Anemia is a hidden disease because the symptoms pass without being recognized. Anemia signs may be loss of appetite, constipation, headache, difficulty concentrating, cold extremities, depression, dizziness, general paleness, weakness, and fatigue.

We should note that anemia is not considered a health problem, but it may signify the disorders behind it. Therefore, examinations must be conducted for anemia and to determine the cause, as many eat healthy food, yet we find them suffering from anemia.

Here is the nutrition to avoid and treat anemia:

1- Regarding fruits: apples, apricots, bananas, dates, grapes, plums, raisins.

2- For vegetables: all leafy vegetables that are dark green, broccoli, okra, turnip, and squash.

3- From grains and pulses: chickpeas, lentils, and rice bran.

4- Regarding protein, all animal proteins treat and protect against anemia, such as meat, poultry, egg yolks, and fish.

5- Eat at least a teaspoon of black honey twice a day For children, it is possible to use a teaspoon with a cup of water and half a lemon at a rate twice a day because black honey is an excellent source of iron and the vitamin B.

6- If you are a vegetarian and do not eat animal products, oversee your diet and recommend using vitamin B12 as a supplement.

7- Avoid consuming coffee immediately after eating because it contains polyphone, which prevents iron absorption, and black tea because it contains tannic acid.

8- Don’t eat iron-rich foods with meals that contain a lot of fiber.

9- Do not take calcium, vitamin E, zinc, or antacids simultaneously as iron supplements because they interfere with its absorption.

10- Eat fish simultaneously as vegetables that contain iron, as this increases its absorption.

11- Try to avoid using sugar in food, as it reduces iron absorption.

12- Individuals suffering from pernicious anemia should take vitamin B12.

Finally, it must be emphasized that a complete blood analysis must be done if the individual feels some stress to find out if the person suffers from a lack of iron before taking iron supplements, as excess iron may damage the liver, heart, and pancreas, and cell activity and become associated with cancer.
