Spain coach Luis Enrique has summoned Wolverhampton striker Adama Traore to the new squad on Friday, 3 days after joining Mali.
During the last 18 months, the player – who was born in Barcelona to Mali parents – has vacillated between playing for the two countries. He can still play for either of them because he has not yet represented either of them at the first international level.
Traore was in Spain’s squad last month but was forced to withdraw after testing the Coronavirus.
Arsenal’s seconded midfielder Danny Ceballos returned to the final squad, while Chelsea goalkeeper Kepa Arizabalaga continues in the squad.
The only new name in the 25-man squad is Jose Campania, the Levante player.
Spain will meet in a friendly match with its Portuguese counterpart on October 7, before facing Switzerland in the European League of Nations on the tenth of this month, and then play against Ukraine 3 days later.
The Spain squad was as follows:
David de Gea, Kiba Arrizabalaga, and Unai Simon.
Jesus Navas, Danny Carvajal, Sergio Ramos, Pau Torres, Eric Garcia, Diego Llorente, Jose Gaia and Sergio Regilon.
Sergio Busquets, Rodry, Fabian Ruiz, Michael Merino, Danny Ceballos, Sergio Canales and Jose Campania.
Rodrigo, Michael Uyarzabal, Ansu Fati, Gerard Moreno, Danny Olmo, Ferran Torres and Adama Traore.
