The Spanish international striker Alvaro Morata landed in Turin, Monday evening, in preparation for his return to Juventus, Italy, on loan from Atletico Madrid for 10 million euros, with the option of contracting him permanently for 45 million, according to local media.
And after the Uruguayan Luis Suarez was a candidate to move to Juventus from Barcelona after the new Dutch coach Ronald Koeman informed him that he was out of his accounts for the next season, the Italian champion chose his former player, Murtha, as a result of Suarez’s delay in obtaining the Italian passport.
A video clip published by Juventus on his social media accounts showed Morata’s arrival late, Monday evening, at Cassili airport in Turin, where he was received by a group of Juventus fans, in preparation for a routine medical examination and signing of his transfer contract for one season with an option. He was finally contracted in June 2021 for 45 million euros, according to the Italian “Sky Sports” network.
“Sky Sports” also revealed that Morata’s contract includes a clause that allows him to play next season with Juventus on loan as well.
Morata had previously defended Juventus for two seasons between 2014-2016 from Real Madrid, but the latter acted the clause that allows him to restore the international striker, who scored 27 goals in 93 matches he fought with the “old lady” shirt and won with him both the league and the domestic cup twice. Add to the title in the Italian Super Cup.
But Morata’s return to the royal club did not last long, as the latter decided to abandon him in the following season in favor of Chelsea, who then loaned him to his footballing team Atletico in January 2019, before signing in the summer of that year for a final with “Los Rojiblancos”.
And reports in Spain have spoken that Morata’s departure to Juventus paves the way for Atletico to sign Luis Suarez as a free player, after releasing him from his contract with Barcelona in exchange for half of his financial dues for the last year of his contract with the Catalan club, according to media reports.
