Portuguese coach Jose Morais, former assistant to Jose Mourinho, said Argentine star Lionel Messi could leave Barcelona to join Inter Milan.
The Spanish newspaper “Mundo Deportivo” quoted Morais saying that Messi, who is the vice president of Inter Javier Zanetti, is the password to conclude the historic agreement because of their good relations.
Morais believes that Zanetti can persuade Messi to move to Inter to respond to the wish of the former president of the Italian club Massimo Moratti, who said that his dream was to see the Barcelona star in the Inter jersey.
It seems that the tense relationship between Messi and the administration of Barcelona, and his collision with the sports director Abidal, have speculated on the possibility of his departure from the Catalan club, with which the name of Messi has been associated for 15 years since he played the first game for the first team and is only 17 years old.
Barcelona club president Josep Maria Bartomeu has said frequently that Messi continues with the team and that the question of renewing his contract with the club is almost settled, knowing that his contract expires next summer.
It should be noted that Morais worked as an assistant coach for Mourinho during the period he led Inter Milan, from 2008 to 2010.
