The fate of Moroccan fullback Achraf Hakimi remains baffled between staying with Borussia Dortmund or returning after his loan to Real Madrid ends.
The Moroccan international is spending his second season in the black festival shirt after being loaned from Real Madrid for two seasons.
According to the German newspaper “Bild”, Dortmund officials are giving themselves the approval of the royal to extend the Hakimi loan for at least another season.
This desire comes considering the importance of the 21-year-old to Swiss coach Lucien Favre, who depends mainly on him, and his brilliance with the team since his arrival at the Signal Iduna Park.
Hakimi’s decision remains the decisive factor in the two clubs ’negotiations, as he must choose between staying with Dortmund, or returning to Madrid to enter a fierce competition with Spain’s full-back, Danny Carvajal.
The Spanish international has the confidence of French coach Zinedine Zidane, which makes Hakimi’s mission difficult if he returns next season after Alvaro Odriozola failed to win a key place in the Merengue squad recently.
The Spanish press reports had shown that the Moroccan full-back had signed a new contract with Real Madrid until 2023, but the newspaper “Bild” confirmed the incorrectness of these reports.
