News reports revealed that six members of the Barcelona Football Club board of directors submitted their resignation, stressing that the club will face future challenges and that they are not ready to face them under the current leadership of the club.
The Spanish newspaper “AS” reported on Thursday evening that the collective resignation included Emily Rosewood and Enrique Tapas, the two vice-presidents of the club, Josep Maria Bartomeu, and the members of the board of directors Silvio Elias, Maria Teixidor, Josep Pons and Jordi Klamasaglia.
He stated that the decision to resign came due to poor management of the crisis in Barcelona,; the issue related to social media accounts and the future vision for the post-Corona virus crisis.
Britain had announced earlier this year he had broken the contract with a public relations company that was charged with managing accounts on social media after he had been used to criticize the team’s products.
The newspaper “AS” published the text of the resignation, and it says: We would like it we, the directors signed below, have informed President Bartomeu of this resignation permanently from our positions in the club. We have reached this point and we do not see an example of changing the way it operates before the important future challenges, especially after the epidemic crisis.
Members reinforce: We would like to underline our disappointment in the unfortunate incident of social media accounts.
Finally, the resignation text reads: We would like to thank the managers and express our gratitude to the colleagues on the board of directors who devoted their energy and effort to the interest of FC Barcelona. We would like to thank the club’s executive and staff members for their support and the excellent work they provided during this period. I pleased us to work with our beloved Barcelona service.
